A soft, flat-and-round-topped hat with a small visor. Similar to military hat field caps, it is generally green hat in color with a red star ornament. Originally called "liberation cap" (解放帽 jiě fàng mào) in China because of its long time service in People's Liberation Army as the standard uniform cap.
